Supporting NHS staff following a colleague suicide
Guidance is now available to support NHS workers affected by a colleague’s suicide, and for those who will be supporting them.
Existing guidance has not been specific enough for the NHS, and support has often fallen short of staff needs.
UNISON branches are encouraged to draw this guidance to the attention of their employers and seek discussions on how to use the recommendations to put in place effective postvention support.
